Bhaskaran has a number of innovations to his credit.
His 'Winds of Peace' album is a first of its kind. He has handled two system of flute playing the South Indian eight holed model and the North Indian six holed model to give a very unique Jugalbandhi effect
Several gayaki gamakas have been brought forth on the flute, conceived and played several unique combinations of instruments and vocals, including the Jalatarang, Gotu vadyam and Thavil keyboard guitar and mandalin.
Bhaskaran has also produced fusion recordings, as well as played in light classical or light western music group. He has also performed jugalbandhis with North Indian Music stalwarts.
Underlying all this his approach to melody and creating a pleasant experience for the listener is never compromised.
